CARE FOR ALL WOMEN
OUR COMMITMENT TO WOMEN
OUR COMMITMENT TO WOMEN
At Lancôme, we believe women should have the opportunity to be the authors of their own destinies wherever they are in their journeys of self-fulfillment. Since 2017, Lancôme in partnership with the NGO Care aim to empower women around the world by equipping them with the skills they need to create their own happier futures through literacy programs, mentoring or entrepreneurship.
ADVOCATING FOR LITERACY
ADVOCATING FOR LITERACY
Being unable to read and write makes it hard to live life to the fullest. Illiteracy is a relatively unknown yet universal problem that’s prevalent in both developed and developing countries. According to UNESCO, “773 million adults worldwide lack basic literacy skills today”. On World Literacy Day, Lancôme wants to shine a light on the importance of literacy as a key element to accomplish self-expression, self-confidence, and self-fulfillment.
MAKING WOMEN THE AUTHORS OF THEIR DESTINIES
MAKING WOMEN THE AUTHORS OF THEIR DESTINIES
Illiteracy can cause obstacles, ranging from children’s education and limited freedom of expression to not having access to basic human rights. By working with Care International, Lancôme seeks to raise awareness on this major issue and help empower all women so they can live the life they deserve..
WRITING A NEW HAPPIER CHAPTER
WRITING A NEW HAPPIER CHAPTER
Our Write Her Future literacy program is a key pillar of Lancôme’s social responsibility program “Caring Together For a Happier Tomorrow”. To date, we have supported more than 32,000 beneficiaries in 14 countries and are aiming to impact a total of 100,000 women by 2022. Our ultimate goal is to equip women with lifelong learning skills and the confidence they need so they can write a new happier chapter for themselves their families and communities around them.
WRITE HER FUTURE ACROSS THE WORLD
Thanks to the NGO Care and local non-profits, the Write her future program has been implemented in multiple markets across the globe.
